And a thousand blue bubbles … so sings Mina in a famous song.
In Milan we can now modify the text by replacing the word bubbles with a bowl. Yes, those bowls full of healthy delicacies, loved even by those who have never even approached healthy food. And then off with beetroot sprouts, chia seeds, hiashi seaweed, masago, goji berries, black, white, wholegrain and even pink rice. One rule: that they are super colourful and above all instagrammable!
Today we take you to the discovery of some Milanese places where you can taste these chests full of tasty and light food!
MACHA CAFÈ
An institution in the restorative panorama of Milan, Macha Cafe is a format that has just inaugurated its sixth store in Via Savona 25, in the heart of the Tortona District.
Although the main element is matcha in all versions (matcha latte, matcha beer, centrifuged, cocktails, chocolate, macha cheesecake) there is no lack of sushi bowl. Worthy of note are the new entries such as the “Teriyaki salmon” with teriyaki salmon, broccoli, snow peas and beetroot shoots and the “Ebi” with sauteed shrimp, avocado, edamame, masago and nori seaweed. You can also taste the classic Poké, the Super Bowl rich in proteins and the sweet Energy Bowl!
POKU POKE PLACE
In the evocative setting of the Arco della Pace we find Poku Poké Place , a small temple of Hawaiian flavours. Here fresh diced fish is accompanied by rice of various types and by many tasty ingredients, from fruit to vegetables, from spices to grains. Try the Honolulu poké with choice rice, tuna, sea bass, carrots filangè, mango, avocado, wakame salad, wasabi yuzu dressing, toasted sesame and gazpacho mango and Kapalua Bay with rice of choice, ebi, breaded shrimp, carrots filangè, avocado, cherry tomatoes, wakame salad, cucumber, spicy cream, teriyaki sauce, wasabi yuzu dressing and toasted sesame.
WAIKIKI POKE
Milan, Verona, Bologna and Rimini are the cities in which we find Waikiki Poké , the first Poké franchise in Italy. Here the fish morsels (tuna, salmon, octopus, sea bass) can be paired with rice (wholegrain, basmati, venere, white), with three types of marinades (waikiki, Mediterranean, old school) and different ingredients (mango, spring onion, purple cabbage, ginger, avocado, corn, pineapple, edamame, crab, alghette). The topping with cuttlefish ink and the Franciacorta branded Waikiki Maunaloa Brut and Rosé are truly innovative .
MAUI POKE FOOD & DRINKS
The original Hawaiian poke is found in Via Vigevano 12, in the Porta Genova area and in Via S. Vittore Al Teatro, 3 , in the Piazza Affari area. Here you can enjoy traditional Hawaiian Poke, as well as other typical dishes from overseas cuisine, such as Loco Moco, the most famous Hawaiian dish after Poke. There is no shortage of centrifuges, wines and excellent drinks!
