The fear of flying is often experienced in distress by people. The knowledge of not being able to get off the plane until you get to the destination, not having the possibility of lowering the window or the idea of being powerless in the event of an accident transform what for some is the most pleasant way to “move” in a knot in the stomach.
Below are 5 practical tips for dealing with the fear of flying and having more control over this phobia.

The human mind is afraid of what it does not know and information is the first weapon to overcome the fear of flying. In many cases, the aerobic phobia is unleashed due to misinterpretations of normal conditions that develop during a flight.
A practical example? The turbulence.
The turbulence is nothing more than jolts caused by air voids and is part of a classic flight routine. Airplanes are designed to tackle them easily and are often avoided by pilots by changing the altitude during the flight. Turbulence is an event that happens similarly while driving a car on a bumpy road. Some roads are flat, others more rugged. That’s all. Don’t be afraid to ask questions (even if trivial) to the crew. Often your paranoia could easily disappear.

Distracting oneself in flight is one of the methods to combat the fear of flying that works best of all. Reading a book, listening to music or watching a movie could help you think little about flying and consequently fight the fear of flying.
