What are the freshest “creepy” ads that have already came out this month?
SKITTLES
“The rainbow sweets” brand is out with its first Halloween commercial in more than five years.
The ad, created with agency DDB Chicago and Smuggler Production House, is designed to tweak a familiar witch story.
“Skittles ideas are always rooted in subverting something familiar and turning it into something delightfully unexpected,” Skittles’ senior associate brand manager Mitch Rotenberg said in a statement accompanying the newest Halloween ad.
BURGER KING
The latest release, ahead of Halloween, is a Ghost Whopper, which is a regular burger with a special white cheddar-cheese-flavoured sesame-seed bun and is only available in US.
Burger King hired Riz Mirza, a psychic medium, to produce a “spirit taste test” advertisement. The company claims that the spirits Mirza attracted offered reviews of the Ghost Whopper.
“‘It’s beyond belief to experience this taste,’ said one of the spirits,” Burger King said in a press release. “Another one affirmed, ‘It’s filth!’ Others just didn’t know what they were holding in their hands because they’ve never seen a hamburger in their lifetime.”
SHABU
Halloween is a magical time, so why not to advertise us and our own clients. This year we have prepared a series of “scary” posts for our client sushi franchising, Shabu. Especially for this article we have chosen our favourite posted created by Matteo Mandirola.
