“For all the violence imposed on her. For all the humilation she has suffered. For the body that you exploited. For the intelligence that you have condemned her for. For the ignorance that made you leave her. For the freedom that you have denied her. For the mouth you shut, and the wings you clipped. Stand, gentlemen, now in front of a woman…” (William Shakespeare).
It is violence if you are not enough. Pretty beautiful, good, tall, thin, fit, well-groomed, simple, sophisticated, nice, sociable, extrovert, shy, intelligent, confident, etc. etc. etc …
It can be traced back to not being enough for the partner, for the colleagues, for the employer, for the family or for friends.
It is violence when a man raises his hands, sure, but it is violence even when he makes you feel nothing, when he haunts you, when he screams the worst words in the world, when he makes you feel invisible, when you lack respect, when you he does not respect, does not give you value, when he considers you inferior, when you are not free to express your opinions.
It is violence even when the women themselves do not give a hand to the others. When envy leads to saying words not even worth writing. Because women are true, often, they don’t know how to make a group and in that imposed group they don’t offer pleasant environments. It is a violence when they say “she got fat, that dress does not suit her, she is dressed like …”.
It’s violence. Point.
And it must be fought together every day!
We at BSO GROUP believe in the value of women. Among our collaborators, women are in the majority and we are proud of them!
